Progress IODIS: Worth the Wait.

"Be not afraid of going slowly; be afraid only of standing still."

Chinese Proverb

Chinese Proverb is Coming Soon!

The PROGRESS IODIS a light-weight, Intra Oral Digital Impression System that will be available to your practice through DENTgineering™this fall.

Look to DENTgineering™ for updates and FAQs:

Q: What type of technology is being used?

A: A combination of confocal microscopy and interferometry. This allows for a highly accurate tomographic scan.

Q: What makes the technology special?

A: We are using a special proprietary sensor technology called “Smart Pixel”. This sensor supports a dedicated microprocessor for each pixel which enables a very fast scan rate.

Q: What kind of light is used in the scanner?

A: The light is near infrared and will not harm the patient or user.

Q: Does the system require powder?

A: No. The scans of natural dentition and tissue can be taken without an opaquing powder. If you desire a faster scan time, powder can be applied. If you are scanning something highly reflective (implant abutment), powder is required.

Q: What type of data is produced by these scans?

A: To support open-architecture development, our scanner will be producing impressions in an STL surface file. This file is compatible with most open CAD platforms such as 3Shape.

Q: How is the unit disinfected?

A: Wipe down or spray disinfectant. The housing is stainless steel.

By Hennessy Labs

This portable, highly accurate scanning system is available for a low monthly rental fee, as opposed to a high upfront cost.
